There are a variety of criminal offences related to the charge of Impaired Driving (Drunk Driving, DUI): Failing the Breathalyzer / Over .08, Refusal, Impaired Driving Causing Bodily Harm, Impaired Driving Causing Death.
There are many criminal laws involving drugs. It is a criminal offence to possess, sell, grow or manufacture a number of controlled drugs and substances.
The Criminal Code contains a number of sex related offences including sexual assault, child pornography, sexual interference, sexual touching, sexual exploitation, prostitution offences and obscenity allegations.
The Criminal Code and the Motor Vehicle Act create numerous offences in regard to driving a motor vehicle.
The Criminal Code includes various charges relating to assault which range in seriousness from Common Assault to Assault Causing Bodily Harm or the even more serious charge of Aggravated Assault. Assault is deemed “Domestic” when it occurs in the context of a relationship.
The Criminal Code contains many weapons related offences which are dealt with seriously and harshly. It can be an offence to possess, carry, handle, store or use an illegal firearm.
